King Prawn Riccioli Recipe

Ingredients:
250g Riccioli pasta
250g Kings Prawns
250g Button mushrooms
1 Large Bay leaf
100 ml still white wine
300 ml single cream
1 Raw Carrot (grated)
50g Frozen Peas
Salt and Pepper to taste
2 Tablespoons olive oil
1 Small onion
1 Medium heat chili

  • Cook pasta in boiling water for 2 minutes. Drain and pour 1 tsp olive oil to avoid drying out.
  • Heat frying pan with 1 tablespoon olive oil and add finely chopped onion and chili.
  • Add prawns, whole mushrooms, bay leaf, salt and pepper.
  • Stir for about 30 seconds on high heat, then add wine.
  • Allow to simmer for about 2 minutes and add peas, grated carrot, pasta and cream.
  • Stir gently for another 2 minutes.
  • Ready to serve.

    Bay dry leaf should not be eaten but gives wonderful flavour to the recipe.  It is also said to ease digestion.

    Sweet peas contain protein lectins, good for blood circulation.  High source of iron (to treat anaemia), Vitamin A and C.
This ingredient promotes a healthy heart and immune system. It is said to help prevent cancer, reduce fatigue and delay signs of ageing.
