- Boil spaghetti for
2 minutes. Drain and drizzle olive oil.
- Peel and slice carrots and onions thinly.
- Fry carrots, onion and chopped sweet pepper with
olive oil and butter.
- Stir for 2 minutes on high heat and add 100ml
water, rice vinegar, Soy sauce.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Add sliced mushrooms and tomato sauce.
- Stir for 2 minutes add spaghetti then stir gently
for 1 more minute.
I go through a phase of cooking my
favourite foods, pasta being one of them.
There are to many combinations of pasta dishes that it is not possible
to get bored with pasta.
To help me get my five a day, I search for seasonal ingredients, fresh
vegetables and check my cupboard for stock control.
Spaghetti is a good energy source as
it contains starch.
Despite the myth of starch being bad for you, this is not
correct.
Starch is low in fat and it contains stored energy.
