Vegetarian Meat Balls Recipe

Ingredients:
300g Quorn Swedish Meat style balls
100g Spaghetti
3 Organic tomatoes
1 Medium heat Chili
1 Large bay leaf
1 Large onion
25g Fresh basil leaves
2 Table spoon of olive oil
1 tsp paprika powder
1 tsp Parmesan cheese
3 tsp pepper pesto
Salt and pepper

  • Boil spaghetti for 4 minutes, drain and leave in pot with lid on.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the pasta to avoid sticking.
  • Heat olive oil in frying pan, stir fry finely chopped onions and chili until soften, add bay leaf.
  • Add Quorn balls and chopped and de-seeded tomatoes, stir gently for about 5 minutes on medium heat.
  • Turn heat to high and add 200ml water.
  • Add pesto, paprika, basil, salt and pepper, stir regularly for 3 minutes.
  • Remove bay leaf and serve hot with Parmesan cheese on top.

Tomatoes contain lycopine (levels increase when cooked) can help
prevent certain types of cancer like prostate.

Pasta is a great source of carbohydrates, boosting energy levels.
Whole wheat pasta can help prevent breast and colon cancer.  This
ingredient also contains folic acid which can help treat asthma,
constipation and allergies.

Quorn contains 75% less fat than meat.  This is a great alternative for a low calorie meal but still full of great flavours. 
Meat eaters often suffer from high cholesterol levels, avoiding meat  can reduce cholesterol and the risk of heart disease.
