A kipper is a herring split t in the middle, gutted and smoked.
Its origin is unknown but it is said to have been created by accident.
Herrings are oil fish like salmon, mackerel and tuna. Also it is
an
excellent source of protein and minerals. Fish can help promote a
healthy heart.
These fish fillets are traditionally served for breakfast in the UK but
are also a great recipe for lunch.
