Goats Cheese With Sweet Pepper Recipe -

Preparation: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
70 g Cheese from Goats milk
3 Bread slices
1 Sweet red pepper
2 tsp Tabasco
2 tsp olive Oil
Pepper
Salt
- De-seed pepper and cut into quarters
and roast pepper under the grill for 5 minutes.
- Peel off skin, wash and drain.
- Toast bread and cut 3 circles (5 cm
diameter) per portion.
- Mix olive oil with Tabasco and drizzle
on the toasted circles.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Cut cheese in (5 cm diameter)
slices and place on top.
- Chop sweet pepper into short thin
strips and add to the cheese.
- Ready to serve.
This tapas recipe is also delicious
hot.
Just pop under the grill for 2 minutes and serve. The silkiness of the cheese if the
perfect contrast to the crunchiness of the toasted bread.
Goat cheese or Queijo de cabra in Portuguese (Queso in Spanish and
Caseus in Latin), was first introduced to Portugal by the Romans.
However, its origin pre dates the Roman Empire.
