Fish And Chips With Beer
Batter
Fish And Chips with Basa Fish and Beer Batter.
A tasty fish recipe with
great health benefits.

Preparation: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
2 x 175 g Basa fish fillets
250 g Plain flour
350 ml Lager
½ L Vegetable oil
1 Lemon
Salt and Pepper
- Sift flour into a large bowl and pour
lager slowly in the middle of the bowl, whisking until forming a
thick custard consistency.
- If to dry add a little more
lager. Season with salt.
- Dust flour over both side of Basa fish
fillets and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat vegetable oil in deep pan at high
temperature for about 30 seconds.
- Dip each fillet in batter on both sides
and slowly drop fillet in heated oil. Repeat with
second fillet.
- Allow to cook for about 8 minutes or
until golden.
- Remove from heat and drain excess fat
in grease proof paper.
- Drizzle lemon juice over of the crispy
Basa fillet.
- Serve with chips. Using Tefal Fryer, chips come out
golden and only 1 spoon of oil is required.
Low fat option to eat
chips.
