Quorn Crock Pot
Quorn Crock Pot -Vegetarian Chili Recipe
The
combination of fresh ingredients
is what gives a great flavour to this dish.

Preparation: 20 minutes
Ingredients:
200g Soy Beans (can use broad beans Favas as alternative)
200g New potatoes
100g Quorn fillets
100g Chick peas (boiled)
3 Red medium size tomatoes
3 table spoons
of wine
2 table spoons of ketchup
2 Green sweet
pepper
¼ tsp Mustard seeds
¼
tsp Chopped mint leaves
¼
tsp Chopped sage leaves
¼ tsp Chopped thyme leaves
¼ tsp Chopped oregano leaves
¼ tsp Chopped rosemary leaves
½ tsp Chopped
coriander leaves
2 tsp piri piri sauce
1 tsp turmeric
powder
1 tsp paprika powder
2 Small carrots
1 Medium onion
2 Garlic cloves
2 Chilies
1 Bay leaf
1 Star anis
Olive oil
- Peel, chop garlic and onion.
- Stir fry in deep pot with 2 tsp olive
oil for 30 seconds on low heat.
- De-seed chilies and add to the pot with
bay leaf, mustard seeds, turmeric, paprika and tomato sauce.
- Add chopped sage, thyme, oregano, mint,
coriander, rosemary and wine.
- Stir for 30 seconds. Add chopped Quorn fillets and
wine.
- Stir for one minute on high
heat.
- Add 200 ml water, de-seeded and chopped
pepper, chopped tomatoes, sliced carrots and soya beans.
- Cook on high heat for 10 minutes and
cover with lid, stir every 2 minutes.
- Remove star anis and bay
leaf.
- Taste sauce for heat, if not hot enough
add ½ chili.
- Add new potatoes and chick
peas.
- Cook for 5 minutes on medium heat until
potatoes soften.
- Ready to serve.
What is Quorn?
Quorn is an alternative to meat, made from a versatile,
vegetable protein called mycoprotein found in a member of funghi family
like mushrooms and truffles.
Unfortunately, Quorn is not available in every
country. Currently only UK, USA, Ireland, Sweden,
Switzerland, Belgium, The Netherlands and Australia.
Quorn is low in fat, low in calories but high in protein and fibre. If
