Bread Soup
Bread Soup Recipe - Sopa De Pao
For
best results, use
rustic white stale bread, not the
commercial sliced bread.

Preparation: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
4 Large slices stale bread
2 Garlic cloves
3 tsp Olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste

Chop bread into small pieces and crush garlic cloves.
- Add bread, garlic and olive oil to hot pan.
- Stir on high heat for 30 seconds.
- Add 500ml hot water and stir regularly for 5 minutes on medium low heat.
- Use a potato masher to press down bread pieces. Bread texture
will change with the heat. Season to taste.
- Ready to serve

Pao is a Portuguese soup recipe.
Traditionally
a peasant soup, that originated out of need to use up stale
bread. Back in the days where no food was wasted!
The
