Beef Style Rice
Beef Style Rice Recipe - Vegetarian option from Frys

Ingredients:
200g Frys Beef style
200g Risotto Rice
2 Table spoons wild rice
2 Table spoons chopped chives
5 Table spoon hot sweet chili sauce
1 Table spoon olive oil
1 Table spoon sesame seeds
1 Large gherkin chopped
2 Large garlic cloves
1/2 Cup chopped sun dried tomatoes
1/2 Cup frozen sweet corn loose
1 Tsp arrowroot powder
1 Tsp paprika powder
1 Tsp turmeric powder
1 Tsp ginger powder
2 Tsp brown sugar
2 Tsp Soy sauce
1 Large onion
1 Pinch ground nutmeg
Salt and pepper
- Peel and chop garlic with onion.
- Stir fry garlic, onion, Frys beef style with olive oil.
- Gently stir for 2 minutes on medium heat.
- Add wild rice and spices. Season with salt and pepper.
- Stir for another minute, turn heat down and stir often.
- Add remaining ingredients (except chives) with 500ml water.
- Keep the heat medium to low.
- Stir regularly but gently for 10 minutes or until rice is cooked.
- Serve with chopped chives
Frys brand is a new venture for me. After going to Daily Bread
organic shop the other day, I have found new alternatives to
meat.
Quorn is great but variety is the spice of life!
So far, tried the Frys chicken style and today the Frys beef style version. Love them both!
Frys products have a similar texture to sweet and sour Chinese food. And who doesn't love Chinese food!
